I’m working on evolution of Neotropical fishes, mainly on Rivulidae, Cichlidae, Callichthyidae and Characidae.
My research addresses evolutionary questions arising from interactions among different levels of biological organization, (i.e.: behavior, physiology, anatomy, ecology), and within phylogenetic frameworks. I am particularly interested in phenotypic evolution from an integrative perspective, as well as biodiversity patterns, biogeography, alpha taxonmy and conservation of Neotropical fishes.
